Pinnacle Series Orange Shiraz 2009
Deeper purple-crimson than Benny & Taylor; a more
powerful and densley packed rendition, but avoids over-extraction or
dead fruit characters; the velvety black fruit flavours are backed by
ripe tannins and well-integrated oak. Screwcap 14.5% Alc. Rating 95. Drink to 2024.
|
|
|
Pinnacle Series Orange Sauvignon Blanc 2010
The selection of the best part of the vineyard, hand-picked
and whole bunch-pressed, has resulted in a fine, full flavoured but
elegant Sauvignon, gentle tropical flavours caressing the palete.
Screwcap, 13.5% alc. Rating 94. Drink to 2013.

|
Benny & Taylor Orange Shiraz 2009
Good colour, bright and deep; shows cool-climate shiraz to
full advantage, the vines planted in 1996 at an elevation of 750m; spice
and pepper are folded through the plum and black cherry fruit, the
tannins fine. Screwcap 13.9% alc. Rating 94. Drink to 2020.

|
Pinnacle Series Orange Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Very good colour, less purple than Tom & Harry; has
another layer of extract, taking it well into full-bodied territory, but
with so much luscious blackcurrant fruit that is in balance. Screwcap.
14.5% alc. Rating 94. Drink to 2030.

|
Pinnacle Series Orange Cabernet Franc 2009
Strong colour; the only other Cabernet Franc to have as much
flavour and depth as this is the special release from Woodlands in
Margaret River. This has an amazing density of faintly savoury, cedary
black fruits and ripe tannins, the oak merely a word on the label.
Screwcap. 14.5% alc. Rating 94. Drink to 2024.
