The Story behind our Pistol Packin’ Momma…
“Nose Cone Art” was popular in the 1930’s and 1940’s particularly as featured on the Liberator planes. One of the main themes of nose cone art was beautiful women as they were a reminder for the pilots missing their wives and girlfriends back home. Keith Johnston (pictured here) was a pilot in the Second World War and is the father of one of the founders of Ross Hill. Ross Hill Wines restores the art of Pistol Packin’ Momma to share the joy she brought.
